Through 2 am EDT (1 am cdt)...a cluster of showers and thunderstorms will move east at 10 mph across south central Georgia...affecting areas around Valdosta...Fitzgerald...Moultrie...and Tifton. Some of these storms will produce frequent lightning...and very heavy rain with hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches. This area of rain will end by 2 am EDT as it moves east into southeast Georgia. Elsewhere...a few showers will be possible across southeast Alabama...southwest Georgia...the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend...and adjacent coastal waters. Any showers that develop will move northeast at 10 mph.
