... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CDT this morning...
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CDT this morning.
Areas of fog can be expected through mid morning... some of it becoming quite dense. Visibility will drop to 1/2 mile or less... and in some cases to near zero near bodies of water and other low lying areas.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
