The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a Winter Weather Advisory... which is in effect until noon akst today.
A weather front will move over the northern Alaska Panhandle producing snow fall amounts of 3 to 5 inches through noon. Snow will then mix with rain as temperatures rise above freezing this afternoon.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
