Synopsis For The Southern Oregon Coastal Waters

Strong high pressure located to the west will interact with a strong thermal trough along the coast to maintain strong north winds and hazardous seas. Winds will diminish and seas will subside a little north of Cape Blanco on Sunday. South of Cape Blanco...gale force winds will continue through Sunday and hazardous seas will continue into early next week. The thermal trough will weaken slightly through early next week...with the high pressure ridge remaining strong offshore.

Sun N wind 30 kt. Occasional gusts up to 35 kt early in the morning. Wind waves 7 to 9 ft. N swell 1 ft at 8 seconds... building to NW 3 to 4 ft at 8 seconds in the afternoon.
Sun Night N wind 30 kt with occasional gusts to 40 kt. Wind waves 9 to 11 ft. Mixed swell NW 2 to 4 ft at 8 seconds and S 2 ft at 12 seconds.
